The USU Family Life Center offers monthly housing and financial workshops. 

Registration is required. Please call (435) 797-7224 to register for one of our ongoing workshops.

How to Request a Workshop
Family Life Center counselors are available to present workshops on other financial topics to community organizations. To request a presentation at your company or organization call (435) 797-7224.

Financial Solutions Workshop
The Nuts & Bolts of Nickels and Dimes, a financial management workshop that takes you back to the basics. This workshop will be taught at the USU Family Life Center.

Typically this workshop is held every 4th Wednesday at 6-8pm and every 2nd Saturday at 10am-12pm.

    Housing Solutions Workshop
    Learn how to avoid and remedy mortgage default. This workshop will be taught at the USU Family Life Center.

    Home Ownership Workshop
    This workshop was developed to educate first time homebuyers about the home purchasing process. This education will help them better understand each step in the process and gain confidence in their home buying decisions. This workshop and housing counseling is offered free of charge.

    This workshop will be taught in the basement of the:
    Logan Library, Bonneville Room
    255 North Main, Logan

    Workshop Details:
    • Certificates of completion may be used to qualify for first time homebuyer financial assistance programs.
    • Variety of presenters including Realtors, Mortgage Lenders, Insurance Agents and Housing Counselors.
    • Topics include Budgeting, Credit, Evaluating Housing Needs, Working with a Realtor, Mortgage Sustainability, Mortgage Products, Closing Costs, and Borrower Obligations.
